A Better XBox with Kinect

September 6, 2010

Hey, motion game enthusiasts – There’s good news in the world of gaming. Microsoft has introduced its new Xbox Kinect and Kinect games. New features for the latest Xbox 360 include support for Kinect, the movement controlled game technology.

What you get is an external camera designed to track the motions of the single gamer or gamer and friends who are in its field of vision. It sends the signals in real time back to the Xbox. The latest games were developed to work with the Kinect technology to integrate gamers’ movements right into the game displayed on your screen. Better news yet is that you do not have to buy extra controllers or accessories. You can play the latest Kinect games without extra expense.

With the latest Xbox 360, you and Kinect are ready to go. The system provides a port where the external camera plugs in. This port also powers the camera. If you have an older version of the gaming system, no worries. A separate Kinect camera is available that connects into the old system’s USB ports. The older systems will also need external power supplied by the power cable that comes with the camera.

The latest Xbox has a great new look with its slimmed down size and glossy black exterior. The new system looks more efficient and ready to go. Another advantage is that the new model is much quieter than earlier models of the console. Microsoft made a successful return to the drawing board when it created this new smaller package that has some great new features. Included are the 250 GB hard drive as well as onboard wireless capability. These features used to be available only as add-ons.

With the new Xbox Kinect, you also get better power efficiency with a smaller CPU and a more capable cooling system. You will not have to worry anymore about overheating problems and the terrifying ruby ring of death. If the system should overheat, which is not likely, it will shut down by itself.

For lots of good reasons, the latest Xbox Kinect and Kinect games are just what motion gaming enthusiasts have been waiting for.
