Earthway 2150 Commercial Broadcast Spreader

Keeping your lawn watered and well manicured is an essential part of lawn ownership. However, some lawn owners leave out an important step in the lawn care process. The application of fertilizer should be done twice a year to add important nutrients to the ground. If you notice that your lawn turns brown no matter how well you water, the problem could lie in the lack of nutrients. Fertilizing can be easy if you have the right tool. Fertilizer spreaders, also known as broadcast spreaders make this process much easier and effective than simply spreading it by hand. These units can hold enough fertilizer to cover an entire yard in one pass.

Earthway makes a large commercial fertilizer spreader with a capacity of 50 pounds. The spreader consists of a fertilizer bucket, a metal frame with handle, wheels, and a spreading mechanism. Users walk behind the unit, pushing it around the yard. The wheels turn a mechanism which siphons the fertilizer and spreads it around in a uniform fashion. The rotational motion of the wheels is transferred to the spreader mechanism by a heavy duty gearbox. The handle has a lever than can control the rate of the spreading, fine-tuning the application process. Earthway has designed the system to spread fertilizer evenly and thoroughly.

A highly durable metal frame supports the holding bucket. The steel has been coated with protective paint to prevent rust. In total, the frame can support an impressive 175 pounds of load. Wide 13 inch diameter pneumatic tires allow the unit to glide smoothly over rough and uneven surfaces. The handle can be adjusted in length to accommodate users of different heights. The handles have textured rubber grips for maximum control. Users set the spreading rate with a small lever near the handles. The lever stays exactly where you put it for the duration of the application.
