Men’s elastic waist shorts are simply not the greatest trend in fashionable clothing. It is frustrating for men who rely on them, whether for comfort, size, or other reasons. Elastic waists are certainly easier to slip on, and don’t feel as restrictive even after a large and enjoyable meal. But finding a good looking pair is definitely not an easy task, and even more definitely, it is a frustrating one. Unless you’re looking for swim trunks, of course, your shopping endeavors can often leave you fairly high and dry.
There really is only one suggestion that I can make on this topic: cargo shorts. Somehow, and I am not exactly sure of why, but elastic waist cargo shorts are definitely better looking than many other elastic waisted designs that you will see. Perhaps because it is easy to slip a belt over the elastic waist, or maybe because the pockets, flaps, and zippers, distract from the otherwise unattractive elastic waist. In any case, they are, hands down, the best elastic waist design that you will find.
What is even more reassuring is that cargo shorts can come in all sorts of fabrics and materials, colors and styles. You might be able to find a number of pairs that do not even look alike! Your wardrobe can expand fairly quickly between denim, khaki, lightweight cottons, and whatever else your favorite companies have come up with. Ultimately, you can still feel stylish wearing those elastic waisted shorts. All hope is not lost!
When it comes to picking the clothes to buy, it is so important to take comfort into consideration. There is nothing worse than buying an awesome pair of shorts that really look great, but just pinch you at the waist and make you wish you could take them off. But if you go for the cargo look, you’ll never have to deal with that situation again.
Cargo shorts give you the laid-back look, they are cool, loose and comfortable, plus they generally go with anything else you are wearing on a warm spring or summer day. You can dress a pair of cargo shorts up with a belt, collared shirt and loafers, or go with flip-flops and a tee shirt. It does not matter because they can be dressed up or down and still leave you looking good.
